Chain has enjoyed a coveted place in jewellery. It represents eternal love, the eternity of the circle linked without beginning or end to other circles. Chain also represents all the less attractive aspects of the human condition, like oppression, imprisonment and pain. As we know, one can quickly become the other. Chain is the perfect symbol of the paradox that is love. It has been around so long and changed so little.
